Nancy Drew: The Bike Tour Mystery

By Carolyn Keene

Hi! Have you ever had a vacation spoiled by work? Well, Nancy has. One day she decided to go on a bike tour with her friends Bess and George. When they got there, they met a guy named Derek and his girlfriend, Rachel and Rhonda Selkirk, an assistant named Terry, Bob (their leader), and a couple of other people.

On their first ride together, they all got their bikes and rode to the hotel. That night, they went down for dinner. It was all normal, they were all eating and drinking and having a good time, when suddenly Nancy heard a slither and a soft “thud.” She turned around and saw Rhonda Selkirk lying down on the ground behind her, but she was okay. Suddenly, Terry (the assistant) had knocked over the evidence of the drink that she was drinking that supposedly made her fall on the ground. Nancy was suspicious. She thought that maybe he had done it on purpose to destroy the evidence. Things kept happening around Rhonda and Rachel, and Nancy was determined to figure out what was going on. Whether it was cars almost running over them, or signs knocking them out, it seemed like the bike tour never left the Selkirks alone.

Nancy decided she had to talk to them to figure out what was going on. But when she tried to talk to them to ask about it, the girls avoided her because apparently they didn’t want any help. And it all seemed to happen around Terry or Derek.

Will Nancy find the answer behind all of the attacks? Or will Rhonda and Rachel stay in danger during the whole bike tour? As I always say, read the book to find out!

I recommend this book to readers who love a good mystery. It had action and adventure and anything a good mystery should have! This one wasn’t that scary and was still an amazing mystery.

A few helpful things I like to say about the books I read:

“Run and Get Mom” (how I describe the scariness factor):
None.

“Yucky-Lovey Stuff” (how I describe the romance factor):
There was a bit of yucky-lovey stuff. Nothing too serious.

I didn’t like it…. I absolutely LOVED it!! I really think someone who is into suspense and action and can’t wait until they have the mystery uncovered will really love this book!
